Since this is a thinly veiled corporate thread, here's my commentary to them.
Cracker Barrel should know I became even more loyal for the well-maintained bathrooms on my frequent roadtrips. McDonalds, Starbucks and other fast foods had their stores literally locked to foot traffice during and long after covid, with only drive thrus open on interstates, grr, so I would actually use Cracker Barrels in FL as I drove hours to medical appointments at the University. Thank you Cracker Barrel. Yes, I bought food, and car snacks, too. I even got a gift for my toy dog each time too (she expects new toys when I get home a la beanie babies). Yes, I am alive, thanks for the comfy food and my bladder thanks you.

I don't think changing logos is as important now as it was back in the day when you had few ways to communicate with your customer base, the logo being one. The internet changed a lot of rules but a lot of people didn't get the memo. I think this generation likes consistency and familiarity which is why everyone gets mad when things change. This cracker barrel shit will probably blow over but I don't think ultimately it will bring more money in so whats the point?

I enjoyed the overall look of my formerly local SnS, but what bothered me most were the french maid waitresses that only serve to refill your drink. Their burger and fry prices are very fair, decently good to eat, but it doesn't make any sense to tip a waitress to bring me the burger and refill my coke. Both the logo change and the change of interior makes it seem like its trying to compete with a much better (pricier) breakfast place like First Watch in an attempt to capture that millennial market, when they've been relying on boomers and older for their revenue. I actually went there for the first time in years and it was horrible. QR codes to get a fucking soda. The burgers don't come with the full lettuce/tomato/pick/onion/mayo/ketchup/mustard loadout anymore without asking either, too. I didn't see the steak franks or mustard relish either.

They did start cooking their fries in beef tallow, and they were way better than they used to be, but they're those shoestring fries that are always cold by the time they reach the table.

I didn't get a shake, and I'm not sure it's still the same, but you used to be able to request vanilla icecream instead of the unflavored, sweetened "dairy base" they used to use and end up with a way better milkshake.
