I think the lives saved were worth it. If you're trying to defend the statement it was a "fake pandemic" you've failed.
I absolutely LOVED it. I got over $20,000 to stay home. It was a huge vacation. I'll never understand why anyone was mad about it. I mean I really can't put myself in the mind of someone who could just deny reality, so to me it was always if not necessary, erring on the side of caution, which isn't a bad thing. So to someone who thinks every doctor and news story and two separate presidents were lying to him, I guess it "wasn't fair" that he couldn't go out and do stuff for a few months, but that was mostly because everyone was voluntarily closing anyway.
It was like a really long snow day for me. I moved back in with my upper middle class retired parents and started collecting government cash. I'd been meaning to take a vacation anyway. I'd been meaning to move out of that place too.
