Anonymous about the Cracker Barrel
What do you think about the Old Country Store?

Because this new controversial costly logo rebrand has removed "Cracker guy" and the "Barrel" leaving the only "Cracker Barrel" text present.

Today, the actual agenda is revealed. Their board of directions has the largest marking firm for DEI as major stockholder and board decision maker. There is in fact an agenda other than a simple logo change.

I think my parents stopped eating for a while about 3 years ago, their when they no longer had red-eye-gravy for the ham slice for my Dad, who was especially bent out of shape. How difficult is it to deglaze a pan with coffee.

Its menu was the same homecooked meals I grew up with which I didn't like or found boring along with the rest of my family so I rarely went there. Last time I was there it was the mid 2000's. We only went there because some boomers from Georgia were in town and they preferred it.

Their new logo seems pretty plain and generic for a major chain. Reminds me of a cheap logo from the 50's to the 70's. Even if they were getting rid of the man and barrel they could have made it look nicer. I guess it is more fitting now. Bland logo for a restaurant serving bland slop.

It loses all entertainment value when you win once, which tends to happen the first time you're there waiting 30 minutes to have your order taken and 45 minutes after that for your subpar pancakes to arrive. As a kid I would have rather been given something to read, some good classical American novels would fit the sort of aesthetic they always pretended at and some good Mark Twain, maybe The Adventures of Tom Sawyer in its classic version, would have been perfect.

i also learn they do next to NO research on anything and believe shit they see on facebook reels. you debunk them and they act like you're using the safe garbage sources of info they are, when my sources are a combination of wikipedia, government or university scientific sources, and what i believe are reputable news sources (usually a combination of a few). they call proper education and truth seeking brainwashing, and get hung up on semantics during arguments
of course we talk about other shit too because we're friends but the schizo shit i usually ignore because there's literally no arguing with them. they're so fixated on defeating other arguments that you will be agreeing with them on some things and they'll think you're still arguing.

Basically Cracker Barrel got a new Jewish CEO, and she's changing the logo, menu, and interior decorating. Shills want you to focus on the logo, but really what everyone is mad about is the shitification going on inside the store.

Basically menu dropped items, store inside is now going to be sterile corpo-slop interior that can quickly be sold to another corpo-slop business if it fails, and of course they are dropping the cracker from the logo because Generic Logo is the hallmark of corpo-slop.

CB is gonna die no matter what, boomers die off, and it's too bland of food for zoomers to go. I mean the mash is literally just potato, no butter, no salt, no pepper. It's sad. No actual improvements are being made, it's just being dumbed down and having anything "whyte" removed from it.

Oooh, that is a sign of a true midwit. Absolutely NO news sources are ever accurate when it comes to science. Half the time they don't even bother to read the fucking abstract of the paper, and 100% of the time they have the wrong conclusion from whatever paper they are citing. Especially food, news on food is always shilling first, science last.

Not saying the chemtrail lowwits are right, just saying you aren't any better for citing shit improperly. Please don't fall into the "I love science" group think trap where uneducated communications majors fumble science around to pretend they are smart.

And just because a uni spits out a paper, doesn't make that paper right. We've got a real nasty replication problem on our hands with modern science, and that's even if the thing is statistically relevant. Too many shills trying to shill products/politics or nab grant money by pretending they have the next room temp super conductor (spoiler: they don't), and midwits like you fall for it every fucking time.

COVID of course was a massive expose on how corrupt our medical industry was, but it's not the first, it's a member of a long parade of authorities & corporations being bozos and evil assholes - from the AMA declaring masculinity to be toxic (a political stance, not a scientific one) to all the fake papers people are able to get published for sciences, the system has been fully exposed as a shill mill for the well connected and wealthy. And it's been this way since the beginning. People still believe fat is bad for you because of assholes doing bad science - the real culprit was sugar, but the sugar lobby won that fight, so fat got the bad rap. Which drove all the low fat options (with high sugar) that made us all obese landwhales. Money won, science lost. And the more you look back, the more you see greed beating actual science over and over - cigarettes, leaded gas, teflon, etc. So many stories of "safe" things really being known as terrible early on, shit is covered up, and whoops - the whole population got fucked, sorry.

Recently a comedian has a VERY good point: "You believe in no conspiracies? That is a VERY strong stance to take. You think the government won't lie to you? I'm a dad, and I am in charge of ONE person. Just one. And I lie to that little [bleep] all the time". Funny, but he does have a point: being a no-conspiracy believer in the face of massive evidence piles of MANY REAL CONSPIRACIES makes you dumber than a child. Dumber than those lowwits who think the world is flat. Because even a child eventually realizes Santa Claus and the tooth fairy are made up lies grown ups tell. At least those flat earthers know not to trust shit. Your dumb ass is over here drinking the leaded gasoline and injecting forever chemicals into your blood because someone told you they were safe.

blackrock or vanguard because how many times can you trace moneyed interests back to them, together they hold roughly 11-12% of ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD thought their investments. they have their fingers in damn near everything, and they get seats on boards where they put their people largely pushing their messaging. they could lose 5 elon and a few bezoses and just call it market fluctuations. if they want to push a narrative that destroys a multi billion dollar business, it is literally a rounding error to them

and even if you dont want to go a dei/left agenda, it seems everything they directly touch goes to shit.

thing is they aren't pushing agendas in their successful ones, the ones where they haven't completely gone to shit, they don't have board members, and the ones where they do, they are effectively too big to fail style businesses such as microsoft. every policy they have is horrible but the fuck you going to do about it? ot is an industry where dei effectively is unable to infiltrate wont work those positions, see their quarter of a trillion in energy they have invested.

a few companies that are 10-100 million dollar companies, fucking push the message and maybe limp along or loose all investment and guarantee death.

cracker barrel is worth 1.21 billion dollars and at its peak was worth just under 5 billion, personally I think this isn't agenda based changes, it could be a happy byproduct but this is more or less a move to sterilize the image of the company, which I think will alienate existing customers, and not draw in a new crowd, effectively this is a 'the modern audience is real, if we just change enough they will come' style decision they seem to love to push for

I started going there about 2 years ago, and their prices have gotten outlandish. Aside from that I still like it.

I enjoy the dark cozy atmosphere, the real kerosene lamps on the table. It feels like im on vacation, in a tourist trap every time I go in there, which is a nice feeling that brings me back to childhood. And remember ive only really been eating there a couple years, my grandmother has stories of eating there on vacation 50 years ago.

I got hooked on the ok food and the good atmosphere. If the interior looked like a dennys, It wouldnt have hooked me.
I dont think a bright dennys interior is going to hook zoomers either. I just dont understand what they are trying to accomplish. Alienate and ruin the one thing it has going for it, for an audience that will never accept them.

It's not like it will matter whenever the stars align and they actually do have a meltdown over something that matters, because their meltdowns are as worthless as the things they meltdown over, it's just a bunch of Facebook posting and the occasional public screeching

The Red Scare only worked when there was an ample middle class with high quality of life and low cost of living, strong union jobs with pensions worth working for.

If you go back and actually read up on Red Scare tactics and the horrors of socialism/communism, its all shit thats already happened and is continuing to happen today.
Stifling and removal of free speech, fear of imprisonment and deportation for dissent.
The ruling class will slowly take away all wealth and private ownership, and you will be poorer and poorer every year. Large masses of people will be solely dependent on meager government handouts.
Its bad when government does it, good when blackrock does

It's endlessly fascinating to me how you kids can't put two and two together because you can't comprehend the world without anthropomorphizing everything.

Blackrock is not a person. Ten percent is not a controlling interest. The reason you see large funds like them involved in businesses doing shitty things is because the system itself sucks. Infinite growth is a basic requirement of publicly traded companies.
Tell me: how does one keep growing infinitely in a finite world? How do you make profits go up when you've reached a revenue cap?
Answer: you cut to the bone and make things shitty until it collapses and you sell to a vulture firm

People universally disliked the shitty logo, retard. The only ones trying to make it a left-right issue are the shit eating """""""""""""journalists"""""""""""" who singled out the handful of mouthbreathers who claimed the new logo was "MUH WOOOOOOOOOOOOKE" in their articles. The majority of people, those who were the reason the dipshit MBA backpedaled and reneged on the logo change in the end, thought the new logo was SHIT period.

Because Cracker Barrel is a very traditional American restaurant decorated with lots of Americana and classic American memorabilia from a time everyone had paler complexions.

They wanted to basically get rid of all that and remove everything that made Cracker Barrel Cracker Barrel. Like a total soulless corporate rebranding and remodel so it looked every modern fast food restaurant. There was really no reason to do this, because that was one of the main reasons to go to Cracker Barrel so the entire identity of the brand so the motivation couldn't have been anything but (((cultural))).
