I'm trying to be cautious because the last time I said Grey Goose was good an autist made three posts in a row explaining how it's overrated and I'm either an idiot or shill.

Now I'm getting flamed for calling it entry-level good.

So yeah, it's good enough to be drunk on its own, you shouldn't waste it making some drink, that's all I'm gonna say otherwise I get flamed by some obsessed retard apparently.

Mr Boston

Anyway grey goose is smooth enough you can sip it, like another suggested put it in the freezer overnight first. It's a "western" style vodka that's meant to have as little taste as possible and is honestly probably one of the better examples of that style. It'll also make a nice super heavy screwdriver or greyhound, but don't waste it mixing it when soda or something.

No vodka is, there's only "less terrible." Admittedly I've never had Grey Goose but I refuse to believe that any "premium" vodka is worth blowing money on. I've got a bottle of Paderewski which I'm "enjoying" and I remember liking White Pelican when I had it at a funeral but still, just get a nice aged whiskey if you want something to sip.

I'm not a vodka expert, I just tried Grey Goose, Smirnoff, Absolut, SKYY, Belvedere, some imported Eastern Euro vodka whose name I don't remember, and then all supermarket garbage stuff.

Out of those Belvedere and Grey Goose were the best. They were on another level. But there is always some alcoholic snobby fuck that knows more than you coming to flame you. It's fine to admit you are not an expert on something.

I will stand my ground to say it is a waste to drink GG mixed in a drink, it's worth it to enjoy it neat or on the rocks.

This one is great. I get it as a long drink with pineapple juice added. A blue Hawaiian, too
Cranberry is good, too, the bitterness hides the alcohol flavor. Black coffee works similarly.
I'll do vodka, triple sec, splash of oj, but ive never found oj to be great at hiding the taste, more so the vodka ruining the orange juice.
With some bailies and Irish cream is great.
I don't like bloody Mary's, but theyre popular. Theres a ferry from new York to Connecticut that is locally known for theirs, they use a real old school recipe. That said, it does pair with tomatoes in a sauce or even a rose sauce, but cook the vodka out, which is easy as hell to do even with out flambaying.
Equal parts midori and pineapple is a tasty shooter. I was looking for a drinking game to play while playing smash brothers and that came up and were called warp pipes. Were good.
Personally, I just take swigs from the bottle

You can taste and feel the difference with ciroq. Its expensive, so I dont get it. Skyy is fairly smooth, smoother than smirnoff. Kind of like a cheaper Grey goose. Goose is fine, but id rather save the few bucks. Belvedere was harsher than I would jave imagined. Rubinoff, popov, and that other one that just burns with the blue and white label are all noticeably below.

kek so true
>it must be chilled in the freezer
This just makes it viscous and worse on the way down. Room temperature is superior
>it must be chased with fatty meat on bread, acidic pickles, a fucking onion, or very salty fish/caviar!
This just fucks up your stomach more. Best chase is water, hands down. Food is best eaten in between drinking since 80 proof liquor obviously ruins whatever food you're eating.
>it must be consumed as shots!
Cope for alkies to mask how much they're actually drinking. It is best consumed from a full sized glass. That way you can take bigger swigs or smaller sips while controlling your portion better.

Sip it. Put an ice cube in a glass and put two fingers of vodka in there.
>but it's hard liquor
You don't drink hard liquor like you drink kool-aid. You sip it into the front of your mouth, right where your tongue and front teeth touch, and keep it in that cradle there where you taste it. Then you swallow fast and it doesn't give you that unpleasant sinus tingling.

Vodka is literally ethanol and water and any impurities or flavorings added to it is a departure from actual vodka. It's literally intended to have no flavor other than that of ethanol, so it can be mixed into drinks without changing the flavor profile. You have no idea what you're doing if you're drinking straight vodka for flavor.

I only drink premium vodka when it's being served, because I'll spend on cognac, whiskey, or aged rums first. But you should try Grey Goose chilled to see if you like it. Then make some vodka cocktails if you don't like it straight.

Vodka cocktails that don't suck: Moscow mules, bloody marys, white/black russians. Once in a while I like to freeze an energy drink (I like Rockstar) in an ice tray and blend it with vodka for that trashy casual dining vibe. Good for movie night with artichoke dip, buffalo wings, potato skins...

If you thought Tito's was vile then you're probably not gonna like any of the other ones. None of them go down smooth or taste good, but some are more tolerable than others. I drink vodka often and have tried a lot of them. The biggest difference you'll notice is between bottom and mid-shelf, or between mid-shelf. Whereas the differences up from mid-shelf are minor and often imperceptible if compared to a good mid-shelf. But all these differences are within a very narrow range. You'll never taste 2 vodkas and think there's a huge difference like you might with other spirits.
