I bought a Primal Kitchen mayonnaise once, and it completely broke after one day. I'm never buying their stuff again.

Primal is good.

Never tried their mayo, but you don't have many options with sugar free, its almost fucking impossible to eliminate sugar from your diet, it's in fucking everything, in mass quantities.

Fucking babies can't go a minute without their fucking sugar fix.

Why do companies these days advertise that they don’t use HFCS? It’s literally the same shit as whatever other sweetener they’re putting in their products

A lot of people still think sugar is healthier than HFCS.

Okay, a lot to unpack here. First off, regular table sugar is healthier than HFCS. HFCS is not particularly bad though, it's just a concentrated form of regular Corn Syrup. HFCS and Corn Syrup are not the same thing.

Secondly, are you implying that HFCS, as a sweetener similar to aspartame or stevia? Or are you referring to it just as a general sweetener? Because in both cases, you are wrong. It is different from others since A) It is absolutely nothing like non-sugar sweeteners. It is PURE DISTILLED sugar harvested from corn. Secondly, it is different from other sweeteners (like sugar) because it is a mix between glucose and fructose, but has a higher percentage of fructose in it. It is also slightly less healthy because HFCS is more closely associated with elevated insulin resistance.

>microplastics
I don't know anyone who said, without meming, that microplastics are "healthy for you". The problem with them right now, is what they could end up becoming in the future, IE, our extinction.

>seed oils
Flaxseed and sesame oils have been consumed for thousands of years.

>It is PURE DISTILLED sugar harvested from corn.
That has been chemically altered so it contains more fructose than natural corn syrup. Technically you can get whatever glucose to fructose ratio you want. 40, 50 and 70 are all pretty common.

It's not. It's enzymatically altered. HFCS is created through new covalent bonding. It's processed through the enzyme glucose isomerase. And isomerases are known specifically for rearranging the chemical structure of things, without changing their chemical formula. Kind of the exact requirement you'd need for something being chemically altered. Otherwise you could call honey "chemically altered".

The 18th century is known as the goldzn age of ketchup. When Brits got home with kecap, a SE-Asian fish sauce, they began replicating (and expanding on) it with various ingredients: mushrooms, banana, meat, fish, fruit,...

>but has a higher percentage of fructose in it.
55% instead of 50%? Not sure if that makes much of a difference. Plenty of fruits have even higher percentages of fructose than that and they're not associated with any health issues. Higher consumption of them is typically associated with better health.

The issue with HFCS is it being added to junk food in an overall unhealthy diet. Replacing HFCS with sugar in a standard junk food diet isn't likely to offer any health benefits. A soda with HFCS is going to have like 2g more of fructose than one with sucrose. If a few grams of fructose make a huge difference for you then you probably have other major issues going on.

you don't want to see how much plastic is at the factory for the glass bottle ketchups bro
most glass bottles actually have a thin non-stick layer internally to help the sauce move
