i thought the same exact shit at wendys unironically. I ordered a double stack because it was an app deal. when it got to the table, it looked to be the size of a single patty mcdonalds cheeseburger. flat, and diameter was tiny like a childs burger. I took the smallest bites and slowest chews to stretch out my enjoyment. but i'm probably not going to order that shit again. for my personal humor i will try the blt or crispy chicken sandwich to see if it got smaller as well.

Its the result of unchecked capitalism. You can't make the same amount of money selling sandwiches you did last year, that doesn't show growth and upsets the board/stockholders. You have to make more money than last year, but last year you already switched from the "dollar menu" to the "value menu" and increased prices. Now how do you go about squeezing every nickel out of your customer? Start cutting into the quality of the product but keep the new prices.
