I am sorry buddy, but this is a you problem. If you have somewhat of a spice tolerance, this isn't too bad.

Buldak? Yeah, that will fuck with the most seasoned of spicy eaters. But this is medium spice.

The normal one really isn’t that spicy if you have a moderate spice tolerance. Never tried the 2x or 3x spicy ones though, they sound unpleasant

OP, people who eat capsaicin regularly develop a tolerance. After a while, stuff that used to be super hot doesn't taste hot at all anymore, that once red-hot pepper might as well be bell pepper, and to feel a pleasant spicy burn, they now need something hotter. Potentially much hotter than the average could stand.

The good news for them is this means they can try new kinds of peppers that they couldn't eat before. You sort of "unlock" new flavors to try as your capsaicin tolerance rises. (Course if you stop for a while it'll go back down, too)

Note this only applies to red pepper and others that use capsaicin. Black pepper's heat comes from piperonol, which you don't build up tolerance for, so the right amount of black pepper for your tastes will stay the same.

I lived off of this stuff in college, along with the other kind of Nongshim "Udon". I would usually make it with a boiled egg or leftover meat and put fresh spinach in the bottom of the bowl before I poured the noodles in.

It actually used to be a lot better. the noodles had just 3 ingredients - flour, potato starch , and salt. then they added a bunch of preservatives and stuff I guess to make it more shelf stable or microwavable or something and there was a noticeable difference in how it tasted

All it took was one morning where I felt like I was shitting magma laced with shattered glass and barbed wire, while sweating profusely and nearly sobbing, for me to swear off of hot foods like this. This is barely spicy at all... I always add jalapenos and lately habaneros. I used to be an anti spicy white boy but after dating a Latina I love spicy food now

You know that these things are worse for your body than a pack of cigarettes or just as bad as, right?

This shit is just hyper processed white flour, oil, salt and preservatives, flavour enhancers, shelf stabilizers, oils, it's as far removed from "food" as eating old carpet is.

I just had this, got a 6 pack from sams club and its tasty but the goo sauce is too spicy for me, makes my nose run i'll just use a little bit next time.

shit's fuckin' nasty, man
the cheese powder is disgustingly sweet even if you only use a little and without it the spice goo is WAY too fucking spicy with no flavor

put shin flavor in water
boil water
cook shin noodles and one pack of maruchan at the same time
add maruchan beef powder to taste

if that's still too spicy then first separate the noodles from the broth, crack an egg into the bowl and whisk it while slowly pouring in bits of hot broth to temper the egg and turn the broth creamy

try the cream (not the carbonara)
its the tastiest (their cheese ones kinda suck)

You meat flavour your tasting is artificial, these go in the trash pile. Never tried and don't know what everyone's raving about, can not be good though.

This doesn't make sense, you're crying about it not being hot enough for you anymore, but you're listening to advice about best heat/taste ratio. You just want a lot more heat, the other flavourings aren't the problem in your case so fucking buy the extra hot one and enjoy it haha

Exactly, pretty stupid advice. Been dying to say this since hours agk but I was getting in a Plane. Thanks for your sound logic

I honestly don't think that one's very spicy. I don't like the samyang ones or those Hot 'n Spicy bowls. Some samyang approaches not-enjoyable spicy but it's still okay. The Hot n' Spicy bowls aren't even that spicy, they just taste of chemical-heat and have no flavour of their own.

The shin ramyun with bone broth is very expensive for what it is. You can buy beef bone broth powder from costco and start adding that to your favorite instant ramen instead.

NTA, but they are 3,65€ in Finland. MAMA are the go-to cheap ones here.

Think of it like this, it's replacing the meal you'd have otherwise. Meat and vegetables are expensive, this shit is not expensive. For most people a home cooked meal is £6+ . Instant Noodles are super easy, super quick, tasty and fucking cheap, miracle food from the Earth. Stop being ungrateful.

(Also, stop calling them Ramen, ya American weirdos)
