I've been on a prison food reels binge recently, particularly been watching the dpeezy2099 and holy shit they use ramen a lot. Like sometimes he makes a sandwich and he puts boiled ramen for no reason in it as well. Every other dish he makes is a sodium+carb bomb. But gotta be honest, these recipes sure are entertaining to watch.

The "toilet wine" is a misnomer. They use garbage bags to brew it. It normally isn't made directly in the toilet, the toilet just supports the bag. They make heaters out of 120v power cables and razor blades to boil things.

I think the youtube channel Larry lawton he talked about how they brewed massive bags of wine inside the walls, using trash bags as the container.

I already said that they smuggle it in from the kitchen. If it's in the kitchen, then they're eating it regularly. Why else would it be there? They just can't take extra back to their cell. Commissary is junk food that they're allowed to buy with actual money that is separate from their regular prison issued diet. They're allowed to buy tendies with good boy points. A common punishment is taking away commissary privileges when prisoners misbehave.

That's true but most families just give inmates money. Prison work like that is just "bonus money" but I agree that the wages basically amount to slave labor. I think most prisoners just do it because it breaks up the routine of prison life. Also it makes smuggling in extra food much easier if they work in the kitchen so that kinda pays for itself I guess.
