well for that price it should be at least somewhat decent. but no, the cost of it is basically also a donation to the group and not just the food itself.

the best popcorn i've had is hulless popcorn that i popped myself and topped with lightly browned butter. hulless popcorn kernels are a little more expensive but it's still cheaper than anything premade/microwaveable per serving.

I've seen a documentary on this, they pop each kernel by hand one by one using special tweezers, then coat them straight after. It's incredibly time consuming and they usually train boy scouts to do it for free

If that's true then the $20 is overpriced, but at the very least the actual work that went into it makes the price make sense. Most things are just massively inflated so it's nice this isn't.

Kek, I was on the inside for those popcorn sales, I was an Eagle in a troop that did yearly sales of those. They were so lame I never bothered with it and very few kids cared either about them
