I mean dry aged meats that makes sense. I was more talking about the idea of just biting into a raw steak or something. I'd imagine the texture being gross and rubbery.

you slice the steak with a knife, so even if you had tough meat, which would not be ideal, it would still be relatively tender compared to unsliced steak

Makes sense. I just recall undercooked meat as being really chewy, so I figured raw would be like rubber. Figs are delicious, good way to end a meal.

I don't "get" figs. They don't really taste like anything and I've had both store bought and off the tree. Totally bland mush with a vague sweetness.
