You shouldn't eat mammals in general. Stick to lower order animals, preferably ones who have a less developed brain so they dont feel suffering. For fishes, birds etc there is no emotional suffering so they're fair game

People will really invent entire belief system to cope with the fact that they're eating living beings.
I'll eat pigs and horses like the omnivore I am; animals don't feel a thing when they're already dead.
I am in favour of making sure animals live a happy life and die a quick and relatively painless death. Meat tastes objectively worse if the animal experiences a lot of stress before dying and even mice get stressed, even fish can get depressed.
I'll eat what's tasty all the same and I don't even need to lie to myself to do it.

Honestly same. Except bacon. As a kid I never got over the rumor/fact that human tastes like pork. So whenever I had chops or cutlets, all I thought of was "this is why my thigh tastes like." Grossed me out enough that I just stopped eating it. Yes autism. Bacon is removed enough.
