Number 61, Nakamura Tokichi.

Why?

Simple. It is the only item on the list that isn't from a country that pays no respect to the craft itself.

In Japanese culture, there is a concept known as ikigai; to do everything, no matter how seemingly insignificant, as though it was the purpose for existence itself. It is what sets apart Japanese cuisine, and other crafts, from the rest of the world. It's the reason people can't stop raving about their food, and the reason why they have more Michelin star restaurants than all other countries combined.

I can confidently say the answer is 61 without having ever tried it. If that's weird to you, please read up on what actually caring about something means.

Frenchfag here, macarons are overrated, typical "it's hard to make so it must be sophisticated and a delicacy" french bullshit.
>inb4 you've never been to a good place
I have, still overrated, give me an eclair instead

It's not a list of best desserts, 'tards, it's a list of best places to eat dessert and what they are known for.
Obviously several top cafés in Vienna are going to be known for their version of the most popular Austrian dessert.
