Is jewish cuisine any good?
Everything that you might dislike about jews otherwise aside, if you are to judge them solely by their cuisine, is it good, is it bad? Did any of you guys ever have it either through jewish acquaintances or otherwise? I am genuinely curious about it

Challah toast does sound pretty tight though.

Looks alright.
I don’t have anything against the Jews.

Jewish food is particularly broad a term. Israeli food is different from Ashkenazi Jewish food is different from Mizrahi Jewish food is different from what Jews in America eat.
One could argue crab rangoons are Jewish food.

>Impressive....let's see Palestine's breakfast.

It's a mishmash of cuisines from the places they've been in exile.

Nice
Anyway ngl lox, cream cheese, bagels and capers are incredible. I still want my foreskin back.

I've only had Montreal smoked meat and New York lox bagels. Both tasted good but too unhealthy to eat on a regular basis. Glancing at Israeli cuisine it looks significantly better, very fresh and nutritious.

My take on this as an actual Jew:
>wurst and eggs
>latkes for breakfast/outside Hanukkah in general
No one does this
>challah toast
Common enough, my brother is a big fan of challah french toast but I prefer it untoasted myself
>cholent
Gross, no thanks
>mushrooms and tomatoes
Sure I guess but I don't really see what's Jewish about it.
Personally I like German breakfast best, when I wake I want some nice fresh bread, sliced meats and cheeses, and a beer to wash it down. Eggs can fuck right off.

those are unfair terms since 90% of their culinary items were stolen from the mediterranean/eastern europe, middle-east, etc.

Challah makes really good French toast, there’s not really like a defined Jewish breakfast.

The Israeli stuff I’ve had didn’t make a ton of sense to me, lot of cheese in the morning when it’s hot out, doesn’t sit well. The chopped salad was nice, maybe a little too savory, goes ok with tea.

Yeah cucumber salad goes hard, honestly I like a hummus breakfast sometimes (salad, hummus, pita, and cheese or falafel)

It’s not full Jewish if you can’t haggle the price difference on substitutions.

A lot of historical Jewish cuisine is German or Austrian, which is to say serviceable but kinda bland.
Modern Jewish cuisine is very diverse as it's influenced by all the different cultures that Jews come from. People who dislike it will (not incorrectly) say that means they have nothing of their own, but personally I think that mix of cultures is great.
Rugelach, sabich, amba sauce, musabaha, hummus, shakushka, falafel are all very great.
>Shakushka and falafel aren't Jewish though
