okay banana enthusiasts, care to enlighten a grocery store worker? Every fucking time, I go stock bananas, there's always a crowd of tards actually taking like 10 minutes to look through all the bananas, what are they looking for? it's ALWAYS happening. If it's not obviously fucked up, the right size, and ripeness, then it shouldn't take 10 minutes right? especially when 99% of the bananas look the same.

GOAT banana “gelato” recipe here.

Cut 1 banana into slices and freeze them overnight until they’re completely frozen.

Put them in a blender straight out the freezer with a little bit of milk or vegetable alternative (I like millet or oats “milk”), a tablespoon of 100% peanut butter (or another nut cream) and a generous amount of cinnamon.

Blend everything on high for a solid minute until everything is fluffy and aerated, then transfer into a glass or a bowl and decorate as you like.

You can also pour an espresso over it to make an affogato.

If you find the result to be a bit too soft, put everything in the freezer until it hardens.

This is my favourite afternoon snack, 100% healthy, no added sugar and no goyslop.

if what you're saying about the bananas being pristine is true then I have no idea but I've seen terribly handled stocks with the bad ones being placed on top to try and sell them to reckless shoppers. Signs to look for would be the underside of the bend being bruised and mushy while still being slightly green at the ends. Sometimes there is a blackened line on the stem base, I dunno if this is handling damage or they did this intentionally to make it go ripe faster. If you pull off a piece from this batch the remaining pieces rips open on this line. Bananas are fragile so customers would move them around slowly, taking their time to look for a good batch that will last for a couple of days on peak condition. This is why I always go for self-checkout when buying bananas because cashiers will slam down on the counter or put your carefully selected banana on the bottom of the bag.

I do grocery haul for the whole week so I'm trying to get full spectrum of bananas ripeness to always have some that are just right throughout the week.
If the batch is on a riper side, it takes time to find some greenish one without blimishes.
If the batch is green, it takes time to find a few fully ripe ones that will be edible today.

store bananas in a ziplock bag in the fridge to keep them fresh.

buy them when they are just slightly green near the stem, and put them in the ziplock bag with a couple of paper towels to absorb moisture. there will be a lot of moisture over the course of a week do not wipe it out. The bananas will keep at nearly the same ripeness for at least a week, then they will become over ripe in about another week. I have been doing this for the last 2 years so I know this works. all the other things people say to do, do not work anywhere near as good as this way.
