Planning Ahead
Big Meat Sale

Got a bunch of beef to stock the freezer. Best prices I'm going to see in a long time I bet. If I had more freezer space I'd go back tomorrow before the sale ends.
Prices are going up on everything. And unlike other shit I've bought loads of "just in case" and had to donate just before expiration; stuff like canned beans and corn and bags of rice and flour, I know I'll be eating the beef long before it gets freezer burned or noticeably stale.
I should get a cryovac sealer. They seem to be $50 to $80. Anyone have a recommendation?

I know, I know... you can score WAY better beef deals where you live. You get your Christmas ribeyes for $4/lb and everyone else is a big sap for not having that deal.
But these are about the best deals you're going to find in my neck of the woods. They do it every 6 months and will cut them however you ask. You just have to buy the entire subprimal.

Tri-tip is almost as good as NY or Ribeye in my opinion, so to get it at almost half the price of those is an absolute steal. I'm so excited about this score.

You're buying the whole cut so not every single steak slice is a winner, but hey, I'm not a restaurant. There's a steak for every appetite in here.

I put them into manageable freezer bags. It comes out to about $3 per steak. 3 bags, about seven steaks per bag.

Look at these beautiful New Yorks.

This one weighs a pound.

And the ribeyes. These are enormous.

lol, I'll finish cutting these apart.
Just the scrappy end of the other, bigger tri-tip I got. Not everything is a steak on these.

So 2 tri-tips, 1 rib-eye, 1 NY. Just under $350.00 all in. Over 50 steaks in all. Some a little small, some way too big. I didn't get any roasts though. I may go back for some. $5/lb is cheaper than ground beef right now and I love roasts.

I know, and $8.99/lb. I have to go get more meat. I'd even buy a chest freezer for the next sale. And if I do that I may as well invest in a side of beef and get it even cheaper. The way prices are fluctuating, I'm going to try and invest in stuff I love when it's low. Buying in bulk is always the way to go when you can.

The vacuum sealer is critical for what you're doing. Get the bags at Costco tho, way cheaper than name brand. Nice looking meat, anon.

I ended up ordering this one for $70. I just now noticed it has app shit. I hope that's not necessary to run it. I don't need "smart" devices in my kitchen. Cooking tools needn't connect to wifi.
I'll get the absolute cheapest rolls of the bag stuff I can.

Holy shit, I hope mine actually has "Beefalicious Pro" lasered into it. It's coming tomorrow. I should have bought it before the meat.

Oh, it's 'Beelicious". What the fuck does that even mean? There's beef in the photo and it tricked my brain. I'm going to make my own label that says Beefilicious.

hahaha, no way; it's not that bad. It sucks the air out and it's all I need. There were much more expensive ones. I wasn't getting a $30 one. People seem happy with the Beefalicious Pro.

I feel sick now. Like a bear ready for hibernation. I'm gonna get the meat sweats. Big bong hit and then a long nap. Such good beef.
