Wife cooks like a moron
Me and the wife alternate cooking. When I cook a meal it takes an hour at max.
When she cooks a meal? It's three hours minimum for anything more advanced than just chicken in an air fryer.
I watched her cook and can't multi-task. At all. It's fucking bizarre. She tried a few times but becomes so hyper focused on a single task that the other tasks go to shit each time.
For example, let's compare making a pot of chicken soup.
>Me
Put chicken in a pot with stock and start it cooking.
Put flour and egg in the stand mixer on low to make pasta dough
Cut up celery, carrots, and green onion for soup
Check dough. Adjust if needed. If not, let it run for five minutes.
Remove dough to rest.
Remove chicken, place veggies in stock except green onions
Roll pasta and make noodles
Add noodles to stock
Debone and cut up chicken
Add to stock
Remove from heat
Add green onions
Start to finish? 40 minutes
>Wife
Cook chicken completely
Make noodles completely in separate pot of water
Cut up vegetables and put in separate pot to boil
Remove vegetables
Debone chicken
Start another pot containing chicken stock (first time using stock)
Add the cut up chicken, veggies, and pre cooked noodles to stock right when it starts to boil and remove from heat
Takes three god damn hours and has much less flavor.
She refuses to cook any other way because she will make a mistake or start a fire. It's fucking maddening.
