Why does Japan get all the futuristic shit from Western food companies?

I don't understand what's happening in your webm.
Anyway if a western company ever tries something new, they'll be faced with millions of boomers crying and complaining and calling corporate over the smallest changes. Bye bye innovation we need to waste decades coddling boomer feefees. We can start living once they're dead maybe.

Isn't this just a less convenient vending machine? I feel like it's a stretch but are you suggesting it's futuristic because it could be considered more dystopian?

That's a lot of steps to buy a bottle.

>I don't understand what's happening in your webm.
The cokes are in a refrigerator. You take the ticket for the coke you want and bring it to the cashier, who gives you a ticket for the cash machine. (the cashier doesn't actually take your money, that would be stupid) you give the cash machine ticket to the cashier who gives you a card for the coke refrigerator.
then, you walk back to the coke refrigerator and put your coke card into the machine and it dispenses a coke.

>Isn't this just a less convenient vending machine?
Actually anon it's far superior to a refrigerator where you can simply take the item you want and buy it because it's Japanese.
>>21666398
It's Japanese and therefore superior.

Three transactions to get a drink that anywhere else would just be in a cooler ready to grab.

That's a low-tech solution. The Western world is getting left behind.
In China, they have trains which take you to vending machines in less than 30 minutes, and the vending machines are in skyscrapers lit with LEDs.

What if instead of this they had one large fridge that was stocked with different flavours that could be grabbed and purchased at the tills?

Apparently, they sold supercooled drinks at -4°C, but the service has already ended. Demand would have been stagnant outside of summer, and it would have been difficult to sell only Coca-Cola.

You can do it in your freezer at home, it's mostly a timing thing. Really improves the premade bottled coffee drinks but if you fuck up with those the glass explodes.

This is for all the smooth brains who don’t understand the webm. The vending machine is also a refrigerator. So when you redeem your card, you get a cold drink. So you don’t have to wait to purchase your soda before you drink it. It’s a lot more convenient, and you don’t get a warm soda to drink later.

OP's webm cuts out the end of the video where the cola turns into a slush, which is why the bottle was stored and dispensed from its own machine.
