High End Cooking Equipment
What are your favorite expensive cooking items that are definitely, definitely worth spending prestige dollas on?

I personally enjoy a good thick copper pan.

Copper pots are also nice, but far from "worth" it for most people.

Lodge versions of these are $20-35 instead of $200-350.

I got a sale Le creuset dutch as a first, so I can only wonder how a lodge is. One day I hope to see one on sale or given away for free so that I could compare. But mine is nice, no complaints, but the fact that the metal knob needs to be specially bought to go over 450F or something seems odd. Never had that need before though.

The ninja foodie XL air fryer and grill combo was expensive but i use the air fryer at least once a week. its good for dinner parties where you just want to set and forget a certain portion of the dinner while you cook something else. the grill is pretty horrible compared to a griddle but the air fryer is worth it. it has an attachment that automatically turns off the foodie after the meat reaches a desired temperature so that has been useful for making really fucking thick pieces of meat.

The nutribullet is also kind of nice but my bitch of a wife whom I hate always uses it in the morning for blends or breakfast so it's always dirty when I get home.

all the ones I bought this year have the metal 500F knobs on them. Not a black knob in sight.

Hestan cookware. I started with (can't remember the brand) whatever chinkbrand triple ply cookware was, then bought a few Made In pieces because of influencers. And both of those were perfectly fine. They work, and can make food just as good. But I recently bought a Hestan sautee pan, and it's just so much nicer in feel. I'm probably going to buy a whole set of the fancy titanium stuff next big sale they do next year after I move.

Well, he's using All Clad and Lodge, so I guess he blew all his fun money on repairs.

I have a lot of Le Creuset, my parents got a set for their wedding and I grew up using them so a few pieces were top of my list when I got my own place. I also have All Clad stainless. Definitely worth it.
I also think a good, high quality immersion blender is worth it as well as a good sharpening set or set of whetstones.

My all clad and Le Creuset collection wasn't expensive at all. Scored it all for 20 bucks at a Mexican yard sale, they had no idea. Shit was new too

I got the ~$25 Aldi version of the dutch oven and the french pan, completely faultless except for a slightly worse fit and finish. I've held Le Creuset and I actually preferred the Aldi feel.
That said, I'm sure Le Creuset is technically much better, just not 20x times the price better.

The De Buyer ranger of hospo pans are amazing value if you can get them at a kitchen supply store.

That one is, but I have the regular stainless. I didn't notice when I pulled the picture because it took like 10 different tries to find one that wasn't a fucking .webp

Victorinox knifes. Not exactly that expensive but a set of good knives is definitly better.

I use my le creuset dutch ovens and all clad pans daily, and my LC braiser a few times a week. I've never bought a new item, though. All estate sales or buying them for cheap off white women post covid.

However I am currently trying to debate between the 5 qt LC braiser or the all clad 6 qt rondeau
