Arsenic occurs naturally in the soil, nobody puts it there. The best way to get rid of it is washing the rice a bunch of times and then soaking it, and I'm talking about white rice.

It's an issue if you eat it all the time, depending of where you get your rice you might be slowly poisoning yourself.

anon it sounds like you have alcoholic fatty liver disease. if it's not full blown cirrhosis you should be able to reverse it if you stop drinking and don't gain a lot of weight.

carbs are fine despite what some people will tell you. actually if you do gain weight sometimes it's just an issue with starch and not sugar because not everyone digests starch properly. though avoiding sugar for now could be good for you since fructose gets processed by the liver while starch doesn't.

Diabetes isn't caused by things that spike your blood sugar and insulin. Blood sugar and insulin going up is normal and tolerable for someone healthy without any issues. Diabetes is caused by overeating and weight gain, it can be reversed even if you continue consuming carbs if you lose weight. Saying carbs cause diabetes is like saying fat causes clogged arteries. You might have sugar stuck in your bloodstream or fat stuck in your arteries but just eating them isn't usually what causes that. It's the overeating.
Anonymous No.21679283 [Report]

no problem and yeah i've been dealing with similar issues. if you eat starchy stuff and crave a lot of sugar right after that can be a clue you might not digest starch very well. if you have liver problems then berries could be a good thing to have since they're not super high in sugar while you let your liver heal but still provide some along with a lot of other health benefits.
Anonymous No.21679296 [Report] >>21679300

Spiking glucose spikes insulin and every organ in your body uses insulin in one way or another. After overdosing on insulin habitually, one or more things that can call for insulin to be released can become resistant to its effects. Having a lot of excess weight is an exacerbating factor, not the cause.

You think I'm only talking about natural carbs. Refined sugar and starches spiking glucose/insulin chronically can affect even thin people. The resistance to insulin leads to the resistant organ calling for more and more, increasing the overall effect on the body in a chronic manner. The affected person getting or being fat is not the cause so much as a contributing factor and an extremely common side-effect of spiking insulin, which forbids your body to burn its own fat, so the person who has ruined their metabolism with sugar will inevitably become fatter as their body calls for 24 hour insulin. You're confusing an effect with the cause. The cause is the chronically spiked glucose and insulin.

That's because he's only getting part of it right. carbs/fat turns on the fat storage of your body by giving you the ample calories of fat and the insulin to make sure you pack it away as body fat. If you combine proteins and carbs, the proteins reduce the glucose spike from the carbs. Protein and fat is the sweet spot - very little insulin response.

They worked the fields too. You really don't get it?
Why is the majority currently fat? Because they eat too much and don't move around. Low carb works for people because they're not burning the calories to sustain eating carbs with fat.
The carbs and fat we have NOW are not the same from the past. Fried pastries and snack chips are not healthy in the amounts we consume them.
My logic makes all the sense. Do some research. You can tell me all day how you are at a healthy weight and you pig out on whatever you want, but you're not typical. The statistics show that most people are now overweight. And the anecdotal evidence shows that people who limit carbs can lose weight with less exercise.
As I said before, you can go hog wild on carbs if you really limit fat, but most won't do that. They eat pizza and french fries. That's the kind of carbs and fat that is causing the obesity.
Are you just forgetting that we didn't have those foods "for millennia"? Do you not see why we have obesity NOW?

The majority of Americans and Westerners in general are overweight or obese and this has been the case for years.
