Marinated eggs potential alternative: Poaching eggs in asian style brine
I'm wondering if anyone has tried poaching eggs in the kind of brine you'd marinade them in. The asian/japanese/korean marinade mixture along the lines of
>Soy sauce
>Vinegar
>Mirin
>Garlic
>Salt
To me, it seems similar to huevos rancheros, how the egg is basically poached in salsa.
I find it tiring as shit to peel boiled eggs one by one and marinade them for 12 hours just so they get eaten in a second after all that work.
If no one else has tried it, I want to try it myself, but before I do, I'm open to suggestions or ideas, like perhaps thickening the broth somehow so the stray bits of egg doesn't get everywhere.
