The demographic of your neighborhood is important.
I live in a small, white, cozy midwestern culdesac neighborhood. Houses were all built in the 80s, so its an "older" neighborhood.
Im at the end of the street where schoolbus picks kids up. I watched kids grow older and older, but no younger kids replaced them.
There was one family with jr high kids who rented, but recently moved. I dont think there is a single kid in the neighborhood anymore.
Lots of 20 somethings own houses here, and lots of 50+ year olds. The young families arent having kids.
Im sure if you go to a rich cookie cutter mcmansion neighborhood, there will be tons of little kids. You pretty much have to be upper class to have kids right now
