Never tried bacon because my mom's m*slim, but I decided to try some in secret, and HOLY SHIT BROS, it's probably the best thing I've tried
so easy to make, too - you don't even need to add oil - it comes with its own fat

Just ate 7 strips - I'm not gonna die from a heart attack, right? I didn't drain them, put that shit on buttered bread I fried in that same bacon grease, then put the bacon on top without draining, and added a shitton of parmesan
overall... bacon itself is 10/10, the sandwiches were also tasty, the crust from bacon grease was insane

If u ever do have to stop (for ur mom's sake or something) beef bacon isn't bad, I personally don't like turkey bacon But have fun trying bacon with sweet stuff, on pizza and especially in burgers!

Also if you want the true ultimate pork experience OP, you should try porchetta. Herbed pork loin and belly with a crispy skin on the outside, it's incredible

Even easier, get pork loin chops for cheap. Beat them with a hammer, salt/pepper let sit for like 10 min while youheat over and get seasonings.
Do a smear of yellow mustard on them, brown sugar, italian seasoning, paprika, garlic, onion powder, pinch more black pepper then bake at 375 for about 20 min or until it looks good.

The trick is to double fry them, first a long low temp fry in just bacon/pork fat, then a short hot fry in bacon fat mixed with a more heat tolerant oil. Then drain and season with your mix of choice, I like a mix of salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, black pepper and chili flake.

Porchetta is a real pain to prep and if you don't have people to share it with, you're basically leaving a huge hunk of meat for lettovers and the skin's going to go soft/chewy by the time you come back to it. I'd recommend just doing quick pork belly strips. As you would a pork belly roast, but just precut the entire thing and cook chunks of it as you want per meal and the skin's always fresh and crispy. Really, doing porchetta and rolling it all up is just for presentation's sake. If you precut the meat, you can just season all over the increased surface area.

Another recommendation is acquiring pork jowl. The absolute best cut of pork. Literally impossible to cook wrong. However, not so easy to find. I get it from an Asian supermarket personally. Also for something candyish?, you might also like pork floss which you can also find at Asian supermarkets. It's what it sounds like, pork, but made into cotton candy-like floss. Also nice to use as seasoning.
