Back when I got super into the art of deep frying I would filter my fats and oils through cheesecloth and store it in the freezer. Just keep using until the oil inevitably soaks up too much off flavors from the cooking because it will never actually spoil if you freeze it.

I deepfry with lard, it's cheaper and tastes better. You can clean it by melting, mixing with water and letting it cool down, all the shit goes down to the bottom
Nah, I used to have oil strictly for making french fries which I would change every 5-6 times. I would never deep fry stuff, only shallow fry so I would throw the used oil every time.
