yes good art and animation can be used to convey comedy with visual gags. if your show is just a sitcom with talking heads then why is it even animated. even the best simpsons and spongebob seasons have animation and art that made jokes funnier regularly, because the people working on them gave a shit.

The joke, the fraud, of the Cowboys is that they are by far the NFL's most valuable franchise but because the NFL has a hard salary cap it doesn't fucking matter. It's not like they can use their overwhelming financial advantage to buy all the good players, like they did in the 90s. I dare say the cap was introduced specifically to cripple Dallas, and they've never recovered from it as a team. The Cowboys being the "most valuable franchise" affects nothing but the size of Jerry's own ego.

I'd honestly respect him more if he found a way to pay players over the cap under the table like the Broncos did under Mike Shanahan. What's the point of all that money if you can't use it?

He's an insane lunatic whose money enables his worst behavior. Jerry actually recently had to take a paternity test for a woman in her 20s to see if he was her father, which would mean that he's been fucking whores and loose women well into his 60s and maybe even to this day. I can easily see him being very entertaining fodder for an adult cartoon, but I'd be very surprised if he'd actually let them be honest about how depraved he is. He has a lot of money and a lot of power, even if he's nonetheless a laughingstock.

But then, one of Jerry's guiding principles always seems to have been that there's no such thing as bad publicity. He's been happy to be a clown in the past if it keeps eyeballs on him and the Cowboys, because it leads to more money for him in the end. So maybe he DID approve of this cartoon. I'm not sure I'd be surprised, really.

On the one hand, I'm down for anything from the Mike Tyson Mysteries writers. On the other hand, I hate that they need to use a real-life celebrity to sell their show. Nothing against the show creators, but rather the Hollywood system for prioritizing these spoof/parody gimmicks in order for anything to get past development.

As someone who lives in Dallas, it hurts that they suck so much. Cowboys players get paid the most in the NFL, and they don't even need to win.
