What's the deal with Fantagraphics letting their books go out of stock for years on end before reprinting them? I want to buy the box set of The Complete Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck and it's not in stock anywhere.

I don’t think he hates Ducktales. He mentioned in one of the Fantagraphics books that he thinks Launchpad is a good character.

He’s just very pedantic about the fact that his comics are based on the Carl Barks comics* and corrects anyone who identifies them as Ducktales comics.

*Except the Three Caballeros which I actually like better than most of his Barksverse stories.

It's fun to make fun of Don Rosa but to be honest at least he made his dorky fanboy dreams come true. He lives in a house full of Donald and Scrooge toys, he has a vault in his basement with every comic ever made by his hero and he even got to do official fan-fiction of said hero's stories.

I find that as I get older I realize that I'm never going to get to make that gritty Mighty Ducks reboot comic that has been rolling around in my brain since I was 10 because I'm to lazy to pursue it.
