Technically it will be Joe-Fix-It who will be appearing according to the leakers, the plot seems to be about Spider-Man teaming up with Punisher to prevent a gang war between supervillains.

Ironically, Tom Holland and Jon Berthnal were filming together for Pilgramage in 2015 and they helped with each other's auditions for Spider-Man and Punisher so I guess we've finally come full circle

The issue is that people expect some kind of crossover, especially after how hype and successful No Way Home. As much as people parrot a standalone Spider-Man movie where it's just about him fighting Scorpion, that shit will probably only gross $400 million at the box office at most.

I don't really know if "Spider-Man and Punisher teamup to fight the Hulk and a bunch of other villains" is that much off a hook beyond the novelty of such an unlikely pairing but I think this is what Marvel compromised at between them wanting "street-level" and Sony wanting "multiverse".

Spider-Man can fucking castrate Punisher, he's just a guy with guns. I don't think even Bullseye could stand up to him.

Daredevil characters are paradoxical in that they are genuinely menacing and brutal while simultaneously being at the bottom of the totem pole of MCU supers.

I hope to see Frank interact with more characters in the future, particularly ones that aren't going to harp on his killing.

Homecoming had Iron-Man and really hammered home the "Spider-Man is now in the MCU" aspect of the movie, which might be a sizable factor to why it grossed more than TASM 2, which flopped hard enough that they rebooted the character just two years later.
