Nothing. Superman is a mascot, not a character. He has no thoughts unless they support the narrative. That's why he can't be insecure about his clear lack of virtue.
In this scene, Supes has no thoughts because the audience is supposed to think Lex is wrong without any actual counter-argument. It's a slightly more subtle writing tactic than "I AM SILLY!!".

Smallville had a big following for Clark and Lex. It looks like with James Gunn’s new Superman film. There seems to be a resurgence of Clex shippers. Plus there’s marketing from clips like this playing into it.

If I lived in the DC world, I would never assume Superman had another identity, especially if he admitted he was an Alien that recently immigrated here that goes by Kal-El and claims to live in the Arctic at the fortress of solitude. I just wouldn't question it and think, "Hey, that alien has a secret identity that lives among humanity."

This is all one needs to see to understand how it works. Maybe someone could see through the disguise but you'd be fighting your preconceived notions of both at the same time. Its not just the glasses or the slouch or the nasally voice but the simple projection of confidence completely changes who he is.

It's easy to make fun when you're so outside of things but the truth of the matter is people just wouldn't WANT to believe that Superman is Clark so they would just not even make the connection. Maybe they'd say there's a passing resemblance but Superman is so big that the idea that he's a regular man living among you wouldn't ever be a consideration. Hell even a lot of the Krypton stuff is public knowledge so as far as anyone knows Superman's real name is Kal El of Krypton.

Really why would you? What's he got to hide? He's an alien who's "The last of his kind" so no direct family members who aren't also gods, if he has friends they would know he was Superman and it's not like he has a problem constantly rescuing Lois every other week, does he need to eat? Wouldn't you just like, give him a fucking burger if he wanted it?

Unless you know his entire backstory it makes no sense why he would ever stop being Superman.

Remember when Superman was first written. Back in the 1930s, farm work was pretty damn labor-intensive and grueling. There's a reason for the "farm boy as strong as an ox and almost as bright" stereotype.

What the hell, Supes is practically bending over here to be able to look at him in the eye.

I always thought that Superman's relationship with Luthor and Batman had great potential. One is his archnemesis (fuck you, Darkseid), the other is (sometimes) his closest friend. Both represent the peak of human potential, but they're polar opposites. He looks at Batman and sees one of the greatest heroes humanity has ever produced, someone he sees as a friend and equal. And then he looks at Luthor who, similar to Batman, is one of the most brilliant minds in the world, yet has dedicated himself to being a prick. It's like the two of them are playing some kinda weird cosmic balancing act.
