The age gap is kind of an issue I guess, but especially in a series where Ben is older, him dating a girl 2 or 3 years his senior isn't that big of a deal. A sort of Black Cat or Catwoman relationship where they're dating while also technically being on opposite sides of the law (sort of, anyway) would be, as cliche as it is, kind of interesting.

I remember him saying once that if it was up to him Ben would have ended up with Attea, not sure how that would have worked but apparently he really liked her.

Also Kai being endgame was a late season decision. Originally Ester was endgame and the writer's were pushing for her, that's why she got so much screen time and why there were so several episodes dedicated to her ane Ben. But at some point in the shows later seasons it was decided that the Ben 10,000 timeline we saw in the og series was going to be the main canon timeline and that meant Kai was forced in last minute which is why their relationship felt so janky.
