Let's see, it could be like Penny takes Sarah's place if she had been in the first season, but Gumball was in love with another girl, Penny really loved Gumball but he always ignored her until, just like Moli, she was swallowed by the Void along with Rob, but when she came out, unlike Rob, what broke was her shell, revealing her fairy form, and everything would be the same as Rob but this would be more of a plot about the resentment she felt towards Gumball for leaving her for another, vowing to take on the role of antagonist herself and swearing that she would destroy him and everyone he loves, also learning everything Rob learns.

(It's worth noting that both Rob and Penny are working together here, but Rob isn't planning on vanish Gumball, but rather saving the others from the Void. The Revenge plot is Penny's.)

I just think it’s jumping the gun, especially since I feel that this trailer is just off-brand from what Gumball normally is since it actually bothered to remember that some of these characters exist at all. It being used as an indication of anything in both directions just seems like an absurd take.
