Here's a (hopefully) unbiased analysis of Miles Morales vs Izuku Midoriya. I will try my best to be consistent and come to a rational conclusion. Couldn't do one for Wil.E vs Tom because obviously.

Major Advantage to Deku:
Deku is a straight up brute-force fighter who has physically overpowered every single threat within his world, and can destroy entire cities, mountains, and enormous cloud formations with a single punch, along with multiple ways to further increase his brute strength.

Miles is just vaguely as strong as a holding-back Peter and much like Peter doesn’t use his physicality to overpower his opponents, instead using his mobility, webs, and Venoshock.

Relative, Favoring Miles:
Both of them constantly have fights dodging and blitzing lasers, lightning, and people who can blitz both, though with Spider-Sense massively amping Miles's reaction speed with precognition and Deku mainly just overwhelming the opponent in bursts of speed, Miles has a slight advantage.

>Durability/Endurance/Stamina
Deku:
As Deku almost always fights up close and personal, he ends up getting into slugfests of hits with people relative to his strength, along with the fact that he actually had to train his body to be able to handle his full power + some amps with no repercussions.

Miles is not a tank by any means, and relies almost entirely on speed and Venoshock quickly bailing him out of any situation he can’t physically deal with, which is quite often.

While Miles is a tricky combatant and knows how to utilize his powers well enough, Deku is established as one of the smartest and most adaptable combatants in the world of My Hero Academia. Deku has been shown integrating and adapting to several entirely new powers on the fly in incredibly stressful situations, while Miles’s go-to strategy is “in case of emergency, use Venoshock”

Miles does have invisibility which is useless, his webs which are arguably worse than Black Whip, but Spider Sense is incredibly potent, and Venoshock.

Time to address the electric elephant in the room. Venoshock is kinda just a stupid ability in general, and even without wank is just consistently a high-tier Avengers-level ability that allows Miles to punch FAR above his weight class.

The only thing that Deku has to compare to that level of potency and power is if we went full balls-to-the-wall and gave him both Probability and Reality manipulation based on him and All Might beating Nighteye’s predictions.

Wincons:
Relative, Favoring Miles:
Both of them can kill one another with a solid hit, since Deku severely physically outsclasses him and could kill him in a single good 100%+Gearshift+Fa-Jin punch. That being said, Miles is canonically a Venoshock merchant, and that requires a ton less setup to use along with having a reaction speed advantage with Spider-Sense.

I’m gonna be perfectly honest, I am biased in this take. Miles’s entire wincon relying on incredibly bonkers scaling for one ability is stupid, and I don’t like it. Plus they could make the argument that Deku can pilot himself with Blackwhip even if his nervous system is decimated. Even if it doesn’t make sense, I don’t care. I want Deku to win, since quite frankly without the crutch of Venoshock Miles 100% loses I don’t particularly care for either character, but having the entire matchup be “can Miles land a single Venoshock” leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Usually a matchup is bad when there's no connections or rivalries, the dynamic between the characters is bad or straight up impossible to make a convincing animation for (example: Danny Phantom vs a character that can't hit ghosts) and being a stomp makes it less interesting to discuss.
A good matchup usually offers a mix of good qualities instead of min-maxing one, but personally I like connections more because they're the foundation of the matchup, while you don't need to have a lot of animation potential to get a good episode, see Jack vs Afro.

American comics are more than just marvel and DC but these two are so big that people started to understand the whole Comic landscape as just those two, so they won't even give other comics a chance because of that, then said comics will become less profitable and die, making it harder to publish something outside of the "safe" genres in America.
I am extremely happy to hear that Marvel and DC are flopping and I hope to live long enough to see them crash and burn so actual creative comics get a chance to shine

DC and Marvel aren't in anyone's way. Japan has a much healthier print economy than the US and American consumers aren't adventurous enough to buy new comics. Most of the manga by the time you read it has already been vetted by the Japanese public.
