The Great North has not been renewed for season 6 as of yet. So it probably will be cancelled.

Meh. I don't care that much. I don't even watch the episodes, I just have them on as background noise during Animation Domination and I'm using my computer and not even paying attention to the show.

I do like the world building of Lone Moose. And I do really like how there is some continuity to the show. There are relationships that the characters get in and out of. And Aunt Dirt was actually added as a regular character to the Tobins.

I would o much rather see another season of Duncanville than Great North.

Even though there are 92 episode of Great North. I can barely remember a single one. I don't even remember a single episode which I can say is my favorite. I don't remember any truly funny jokes that I go back to watch.

I very clearly remember Duncanville and what my favorite episodes and jokes were. My favorite episode is Sibling Revelry.

I'm wondering why that failed too. Maybe it had a demographic problem? Duncan and his friends being prominent but less interesting than the other family members, adults not getting it, kids feeling bored by it, etc.

I'm genuinely surprised it got as many episodes as it did. As much as I love Nick Offerman HOLY SHIT was The Great North fucking boring as hell. Bob's Burgers works because the characters are written well and you can't help but like them so you want to see what happens in their lives. TGN has abso-fucking-lutely none of that. It's Nick Offerman playing Nick Offerman with a supporting cast of retards and lame people doing fuck-all in The Most Boring Town In Alaska.

>The Most Boring Town In Alaska.
Lone Moose is the one good thing about The Great North. Lone Moose has a lot of local legends and lore. It has places like the mall, junkyard, bars, and restaurants where the Tobins hang out at.

But the show itself and the Tobins are so boring. What's Moon even supposed to be? A kid who wears pajamas yet thinks he's a 40 year old man? I can't remember a single time I laughed at the show.

I really can't remember a single episode that I legitimately enjoyed and want to re-watch. I remember Duncanville and Grimsburg had several episodes that I really liked and I go back to rewatch and I still laugh at the jokes. I probably watched "Sibling Revelry" in Duncanville like 8 times or so. I watched Mo11y in Grimsburg 3 times. I can't remember a single joke in Great North that I really thought was funny or a single moment that I want to rewatch.

i get the liking background noise for a show, but the the fun thing about that is sometimes you might run into an episode you like. this show goes to far into being just watchable enough
i feel like this show only still exists because people forgot they weren't watching bob's burgers, which has also become background noise but it was at least good at some point

the great north is like bob's burgers when it became bland

Nah. Bob's Burgers tends to rely on pee and poop jokes way more than The Great North. Don't get me wrong, there's some segments where urine and feces play a major part like with the alien story to tell Delmer and the "uncancelled" school closing episode where Judy burps and farts at the same time multiple times. But you get episodes like The Staircake Adventure or the French restaurant one that doesn't have that kind of humor. Like my favorite joke in Papa Don't Fiend Adventure where Judy breaks up with the Abelard with a fart. The delivery is funnier to girls than to guys.

I don't care if he's a good dad or not because his name is fucking BEEF, which can mean either cow meat or a really hard fart and in either case that's not the name of someone who can be respected.

And that's part of the problem, isn't it. Naming a main character BEEF is endemic to the "humor" of The Great North. That's the funniest joke in the show. Clap and laugh, please.

Watched this and the daughter was the only interesting part and I don't mean in a degenerate way. I think even the writers realized it since a lot of episodes focus on her from what I remember.
The dad was boring, he's like a more autistic version of Bob with even less humor and no wife to clash personalities with.
The kid constantly wearing the bear PJs was somehow the most uninteresting member. Very disappointing when pink hat Louise in BB exists
The other 2 sons could honestly be merged into one but they werent offensively bad
I forgot the black gf existed until I saw OP but at least she wasn't a let down
And honestly the only memorable part for me was seeing how people in Alaska live. Not sure how much was just fiction but the show made it look comfy even if its a shithole IRL.
