People tend to ignore that because the show never focused on the two's relationship much compared to Mordecai's, of which people tired or ended up cringing at. Because Rigby and Eileen had no real conflicts or anything much, people do not associate negative emotions with it as they do with Mordecai. That's why you see some people praising it.
