ACTUALLY:
it's a double twist, but not in that way. The first panel mentions black raspberries (or blackberries, as the alt text insists, which is probably right since black raspberries turn to mush and seeds real fast in a bowl) and thorny bushes. The second panel shows what's obviously blood going into the sink with water. The third panel shows the berries being rinsed off, although at first glance you may not realize it's the same water source- it relies on reader knowledge that rinsing off a bowl of berries like that is pretty standard for getting rid of stray bits of flower, insects, the 'powdery' coating, etc. Then the double twist is that Ronnie was washing off his own blood from the berries, not the things you'd normally expect to wash off, like stray bits of flower or insects.
