The original fursuiter was also a girl, so that might have contributed to that interpretation a bit. It’s a really cool and creepy design though, so I can see why it has enduring popularity. Well that, and the fact that it isn’t hostile unlike most SCPs, which typically want to either kill you, end the world, or create really inconvenient and annoying circumstances.
