KotH still has good episodes towards the end but it does have some bad seasonal rot since so many characters regress

They fucked dale up towards the end. The episode where he meets khan's nephew and thinks he's a time traveler is one of the worst side plots of the entire show.

Beavis and Butthead, only show I can think of where the first season was the first and the continuations were good

The fact Big Picture Show even hit as hard as it did means its rot was basically non-existent. It was just too stark of a change to go from 4 seasons of hand drawn animation in the summer that prioritized dialog humor, to one season of digital animation during school with more slapstick.
The fifth season was still great.
The specials were incredible.
And the movie was a fantastic finale.

I love how we had that whole Christmas special about Hank coming around to Gary, Hank's mom's new boyfriend, then right at the end of the show his mom just reveals she's kicked him aside for awhile now because "he was too paranoid, always snooping around, that's how he found out about chuck." Such an awful woman.
