I like it a lot. I think I’ve seen every episode of the original series over fifteen times each at this point so the only thing that really pissed me off was the continuity error when they alluded to Cotton having killed a German soldier, which contradicts Cotton’s Plot.
Other than that I think once you get used to the bullshit that comes with this show being made in the current year (cheap animation, Disney forcing recasts and new characters) it still contains the heart and essence of the original show. The writing is genuinely really good, and that’s all that matters. It does an excellent job of not being heavy-handed in any direction in spite of the difficulty of being subtle in modern political satire. In the admittedly pretty lousy world of classic adult cartoon revivals it’s probably the best.

It was good. Not as good as seasons 2-6 but better than seasons 9 - 13. It hits its stride with episode 3. Episode 9 felt like the weakest episode (though even that episode had its gems), but episode 10 was strong so it ends on a good note. Was cool to see Cotton (via flashback) and Buck again too. Kahn and Ted's new voices are dogshit (Kahn's moreso). Joseph's is alright but starts to sound weirder the more you hear it. Also, the episode with Kahn would have been 10x better with Huss voicing him. If I knew how, I'd redub the episode using an AI Toby Huss's voice for Kahn and only watch that version on rewatches.
