For the past 5 years or so, Cow and Chicken went from a beloved Cartoon Network classic to a show that is seemingly terrible and was never considered good. E-celebs, this faggot and even /co/ zoomers despises this show, but cannot say why.

What caused this sudden historical revisionism? 20 years ago nobody ever said it was bad. David Feiss is a nice guy and talented artsit, so it can't be a hateful attacks towards him.

No offense to that dude, but I wouldn't trust his opinions on anything's influence or popularity. One of those guys who fell for the idea that Banjo Kazooie's popularity is exaggerated relative to Croc because Croc sold a lot too. You know what else sold a lot? Frogger: He's Back, which sold more than both games. Sales don't always equal influence or cultural impact.

That said, I personally always liked Dexter's Lab more than Cow & Chicken, even though I liked both. As I remember it from the perspective of a kid back then, Cow & Chicken was pretty good and had some great moments but was a more "love it or hate it" show than Dexter. I remember some people thought it was too weird and off-putting, but even they liked some parts of it. Red Guy was funny. A couple people said I Am Weasel was better, but looking back I'm not so sure. Those are just my personal anecdotes as kid. Online I remember Cow & Chicken always having more mixed reactions than the more universally loved shows like Dexter/PPG/Courage etc.

My favorite fact about Feiss is that he's Sam Keith's (creator of The Maxx) cousin. Sam actually worked with him on Cow & Chicken's pilot, and David did The Crappon segment of The Maxx.

David Feiss also worked on early Ren & Stimpy which is cool.
