I wonder if he will do another Fluff the World story at some point, maybe the plot would be Gert continuing her delusion story having some shenanigans with Mopsy and Skottie's kids, then she learns that her therapist is attempting to use her ramblings to make money and she beats him up, with the final page being of Gert talking about that beating to her female therapist to keep some continuity with the revival.
Overall I do like Fluff the World , Gert in the real world is a neat treat to see, the art and colors are great, Adult Gert's design is my favorite design of the character, and it has some funny dialogue, even if I am not a fan of how the plot turns from Gert's life struggles in the real world to a "Fictional character confronts their creator" plot that then ends with a "it was a fantasy in Gert's head" punchline.

Gert hugging Vergil is a great showcase of where her character was going in the revival, she is still Gert the Gruesome but she cares about others and is more willing to show it when needed.
NuGert never gets any moment like that. Only her speech about Fairyland being her home comes close but it lacks the set up to make that payoff feel deserved.

Other anons have said it before but IHF has this problem that it loves to compress stories (Gert is only Queen for 1 issue before getting fired, Gert helping Thomas is done in 2 pages) that could have been longer , or just having filler issues that drag out the story (I think you could remove issue #13 and add #16 to volume 3 and have a good volume of Gert trying to become good but failing and ending in Hell as punishment, kind of the same for Revival #12 and Revival #16, have the Gertlings return conflict and leave Happy's return as a cliffhanger for Happy end game, and not both final arcs have 1 more issue to develop the final conflict of their respective runs.)

That's so weird, you would think adult Gert being the reason Happy is in hell would have been mentioned by any of the characters during Happy Endgame, but they don't and she is such a background character you could remove her from the story arc and it would not change at all.
I wonder if adult Gert was meant to appear in Happy Endgame at all, during Happy's attack to those pillow people we see the other Gerts as part of her army, but adult Gert not being there implies that either she is not part of Happy's army or that she is Happy's prisoner. But then in the scene where Happy calls the Gerts to absorb them, we can see adult Gert with them as if she was always part of Happy's army, she has a generic line, and then is absorbed with the rest of them, and in the final issue she has no lines and I think every other Gert in that issue has at least one line of dialogue.

Yes, but in early to mid-2022, Skottie Young began publishing in his Substack "Untold Tales of I Hate Fairyland", a spinoff series. Then, in late 2022, he launched a revival/sequel that is still ongoing and now has more issues than the original series (It first had new numbering but after issue #20 it returned to legacy numbering, so #21 became #41).

That strips the character, imo the point of Gert is never about her happiness, fulfillment, or closure...it's about never escaping her self no matter how many years pass between the seconds or how much blood se spills. Her selfishness, rage, and absurdity are what defines here and any semblance of victory is always accidental, messy, and ironic. A selfless mother ending strips Gert of her plot relevance.

Honestly it was just and idea how to end the story, since it never seems to go anywhere I tough it could be just interesting, but I don't think it would change anything at all, since the comic goes wherever Skottie wants, and I really don't care at this point, seems like even if get an ending if Skottie can, he will get more ihf things just for fun or money, if it get anything good or not well, it may had a plot or not

I think Gert would be selfless for the sake of a family member, more if that faimily member is in a similar situation to hers when she was a little innocent kid and that kid is all she has left of her family.
