That's not how that works.
The package a channel goes into is negotiated by the channel owners based on how much they're charging Comcast. Discovery (and CN with it) split off from WB and are renegotiating their contracts with cable providers so they can charge more.

Two groups are killing entertainment. Management and creatives. Management is at fault for mishandling and for cutting corners. But in this scenario I am the Management, so I am going to not acknowledge the problems I cause like Management always does Which leaves the creatives, who also happen to be leftist. BUT. It's not their politics that are the problem. The problem is their narcissism, which also drives them to adopt these politics. But they will use their politics to shield themselves from criticism.
These people want to tell you their story, not a good story. They think they know better than you, so they will present you with shows that you should like instead of what you like. They make the settings and characters rather mundane, so that they feel their realities are represented. No character is allowed to be heroic or virtuous because the creatives are jaded.

Personally I would go for as show-accurate toys as possible, because at least back in the day the toys kept the shows present in our minds throughout the week. We would fiddle with them whenever we couldn't wait for the next episode. But idk how kids feel today that they can look at pictures or rewatch episodes on a whim.

Streaming platforms are run by morons. They could have easily BTFO the others by running an actually competitive platform but instead they all brainlessly imitated what netflix was doing despite having no reason to do so. Netflix had the brand name, they had the market share, they had a decade of experience in streaming, but what Netflix didn't have was a robust library of beloved IPs with years and years of backlogged episodes. They had to license that from the media companies. Stuff like Friends and Seinfeld were the biggest draws to Netflix.

And what did Disney, NBC, HBOMax, and all the others do when they started a streaming platform? Did they make it reasonably priced and make the full backlog of their hit shows available? Nope. They dumped billions into content development for new media because that's what netflix was doing. Because Netflix had no media of its own, Netflix had to burn billions of dollars to try and create its own media backlog from nothing, since nobody was going to give them the same kind of streaming deals they had before.

The result of this sheer stupidity is that virtually none of the big streaming platforms are profitable. They are billions of dollars in the hole with no sign of ever climbing out. They have to jack up sub prices every year and shove more and more ads into everything to have a hope of recouping what they lost mindlessly churning out shit nobody wanted to see for several years. All because "if Netflix is doing it we have to do it too".

I think it's probably too late now but on the larger scale picture I keep having this nagging feeling the west squandered the best window of opportunity it had for tv animation by how much it avoided making more adaptations. A lot of the anime that held onto some decent staying power were adaptations, since those stories often already 'proved' themselves beforehand. Like something straightforward and not too long of a story, like FMA.
Fiction novels were the one huge advantage the west had. That pool of stories had a lot of variety, even when only looking at specific sections. They could've really helped the "but what exactly should we spend time animating?" question

Do a lot more reruns of shows that people actually liked. That should bring back a considerable ammount of the audience. After that make new cartoons and give full creative liberty to the creators and let them take risks as long as its all kid friendly

New Ben 10 cartoon with five main characters, Ben, Kai, Gwendolyn, Rook, and Kevin. It's a sequel to Omniverse and it's one of those backgrounds first shows like Samurai Jack or Wander Over Yonder.
