The arcade segment was weak but the segment it was paired with, Jack working at that water company, was fantastic and more than made up for any of the weakness of it's pair. Jack and Lily are the show's best pair and it works the best when they're together.

Just saw a few eps of this show. here are my thoughts:

We got a list of episodes early on that so far has proven right and in that list of episodes it outlined twenty six episodes with the last one seemingly being the last day of summer and Jack leaving. Which sounds like a finale. It's also apparently already getting fucked before it even got to come out with it's one season being split in two and being called two thirteen episode seasons.

I think all of the episodes are done but they're splitting the 2nd half into a 2nd season, the production codes go from 113 to 201, "Journey to The Otter Side" is going to be a full length episode instead of 2 segments and will probably serve as the season 1 finale, The season 2 finale is titled "Best Summer Ever!" and looks like it could also very well be the series finale.

At the time Nick wasn't as cut throat. They were still, but not as much since all they really had as a guaranteed success was The Sponge. Loud House was given a chance and blew up in popularity. Which you'd think would be a positive lesson for Nick. That if they give something a chance it could potentially blow up in popularity and be a hit. But instead they decided to just buy out show pitches and ideas then blow through them and kill them off. It's very likely that their intent is to kill off shows that may have been successful on a network that would have given them a fair chance. As was seen with how they handled their initial licensing of Dragon Ball Kai and Miraculous. Along with many of their more recent cartoons too over the years.

Yes. Absolutely. The coloring is a warmer shade that is trying to convey the hipster-esque pallete. For a "Latin-x" show, the coloring would be due to the desert tone and air pollution in the sky. Ironically, the same coloring can mean 2 different things depending on characters. Kind of like how something that is pure white can resemble snow, or intense heat from the sun.

Strangely, all the problems brought up with the arcade episode are not the problems I have with this episode.

My prediction was, that Lily and her friends would eventually win the big price, which would be a gamer setup for all three of them, which would have explained the sudden shift in her hardware.

Ok, I finally gave it a shot, just finished the first episode, with absolutely no previous information outside a single thread I lurked months ago when the show just started... and I liked it a lot.
There is something very charming about the atmosphere of the show, though the artstyle reminded me of something like Loud House, but with double the budget, maybe?

As the oldest brother of 3 half-siblings from the same father, I'm looking forward to see how the relationship of these two play out.

I gave up on all DTVAslop for a while after Hailey's On It. The shitty cliffhanger, sudden cancellation, and the fact the show itself was aggressively mid despite having veteran TOH/Amphibia/Phineas and Ferb writers kind of indicated to me that DTVA had really fallen off. I also gave Primos a glance but couldn't last five minutes into an episode, and StuGo just seemed utterly uninteresting to me. DTVA right now feels like Cartoon Network in the post-AT/SU era, just a bunch of watered down baby shows and unwanted reboots.

Not that I trust Nickelodeon much either... Wylde Pak has been a welcome surprise, but they utterly bungled A New Wish to the point where its probably not getting another season, and the rest of Nick's material has been unwatchable totslop.

I don't think I'd be exaggerating to say they say "half-brother/sister" almost every episode that has both Jack and Lily. And it doesn't take a fucking genuis to guess that maybe the red haired white boy isn't the half Asian one.

And that would be just one episode. So if you've watched a few, many of which has Jack mention his mom, or Minh mention being a step-mom, you'd have to be completely brainless to not piece it together. They made this show for children, if someone is getting confused after multiple episodes they need to quit all drugs or get their head examined

I want Lily's friends and that Raven girl to get better episodes than their first impressions. Also, some r34 of them for bonus points. They all have good designs that justify it for me. Fight me on this if you want, but I stand by it - the first impressions of these girls could've been better if the writers had been on their A-Game like they are when the focus is on Jack & Lily clashing then cooperating with each other in a real way (as in, when the show is at its best, to put it lightly.).
