This reads just like GWW's Ivy run. Like I've been saying in threads about this book, it's going to be all about Felicia being a lesbian, and distancing her from men, almost permanently.

Joker and Harley were an iconic couple for her entire history, and that ship has permanently sailed, we'll never see it again (outside of AUs or whatever). Even in Peter's own "trio," Gwen hasn't been a relevant love interest in decades and her current incarnation is more commonly paired with Miles.

This stuff happens, and especially in comics when it pertains to a character's sexuality, it's pretty much never reversed. You say her relationships haven't stuck, but it's only been 5 years that she's been officially out. And you don't just bring in a very prominently queer writer (meaning her content) without that in mind. Again, I could possibly be wrong here, and I'm not trying to bait, but you can just tell they desperately want to push her as gay. I doubt this book will be canceled in three months. G Willow Wilson is writing the most sapphic Poison Ivy run possible and it's nearing 40 issues.

Anon, I’m throwing hands with Marvel editorial if Peter really handed over the webbing formula to Norman in a letter that would surely be ignored. You don’t give your most iconic invention to a man who’s spent a third his life trying to ruin yours.

Anyways, although I hear what you're saying but Jameson’s opinion aside, I'd argue Peter’s webbing is objectively the superior option. It’s efficient, works for everything from rescue missions to date night, holds tight, clears out quick, and doesn’t leave anyone bleeding out. No fuss, no trouble, and no body. From what I've read, this new formula that can impale criminals takes hours to break down and leaving that kind of mess behind is a hazard. That delay is reckless and could easily result in normal civvies getting hurt and public property getting wrecked. The mess would tie up emergency crews and only addesculate the problem. It's hard to call this an an upgrade when Peter’s way is safer, smarter, and can actually be useful outside combat. That said, I'm not convinced this new Spider-Man is Norman.

The metal palms and soles of the suit mean it's definitely not Kaine. He was also well known as his Scarlet Spider identity and even part of the New Warriors, if he needed to fill-in for Spiderman he would just come as himself, he doesn't need a disguise.
My guess is Norman, Kaine isn't a genius the way Ben/Jackal, Peter, or Norman are and they draw attention to this new edgy web shooter formula that's impaling people and takes hours to dissolve and needs to be cut apart with power tools.

Kaine very much DOESN'T want to be seen as Peter and is the most independent of the clones, Ben being a creepy stalker impersonating Peter at his job and to his girlfriends is in character but Kaine doesn't want to NTR peter's life from him, he wants to chill on a beach sipping margaritas.
