I dunno Goblinette, ASM always made a point that webbing was a breakthrough invention and really tough to crack. And Peter sharing the recipe with Norman during Wells' run would be nothing short of reta- Ohhhh, I see the error in my ways now.

You're technically not wrong but how many other people have actually written May? Jim Krueger (and even then he was writing a bleak future version of May)? Slott? Only two I can think of off the top of my head. One other bloke getting May wrong, who is KNOWN as being a hack Spider-Man writer by anybody who's read anything before 2000 isn't a large track record to work off.

Oh damn, not sure why I doubted myself. The funny part is that issue made it pretty clear to a bunch of fencesitters how bad the Miles shilling is. I wouldn't be so opposed to it if a) they actually did a good job showing it without asspull power ups, b) denigrating Peter and c) treating him as Robin in every new piece of Spider-Man media when Peter is best as a solo character, but they very blatantly push him EVERYWHERE, and it really just does feel like them panicking after that 2010s corporate woke culture trend going "OH FUCK WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH BLACK CHARACTERS IN THE FRONT START GLAZING HIM!!!!" It'd be like if Toyotaro wrote some shitty OC donut steel into Super as a sidekick for Goku and then Toei 'loved' it and every piece of Dragon Ball media retroactively included him from the start as the one to surpass Goku. It's obnoxious.
