Otherwise it becomes very obvious you can't write competently, which involves having characters speak with their actions instead of words and their own character-related issues being masked with plot-related things (up until it's time to unmask in said gay therapy scene).

Yeah, but it's fun schlock. Not everything needs to be high art to be enjoyed. it's a solid 6/10 so far for me. Interesting twist of a tried premise, interesting cast for the most part, and still has potential to get better in the latter half. But yeah, Goose isn't the internet's Cormac McCarthy or Robert Frost, but she does well enough at making a silly little toon.
