I suspect it comes down to Tavros, but not entirely by his own fault. He was a Page, so it was already going to be slow growth, plus being pushed ahead of the things he was doing by Vriska who wanted to accelerate things between them, plus the more accelerated nature of their session. Even the rocket chair he gets doesn't exactly help his movement as much; even with range, I doubt it could turn very quickly.

Using an isometric mesh as a reference could be helpful for drawing rooms. Make it mostly transparent and then scale it as you please and draw along the lines. It could help making rooms a lot faster
