Hmm something like the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders booty shorts and puffy sleeves look? Carol would look good in that too and I think John Romita drew an advertisting comic where Spidey and Hulk help the cheerleaders in a Dallas story. I think it was part of their campaign in partnering with newspapers around the country.
Eh I kinda like Monica's costume just as is. The one concession I would make for modern audiences would be to change her hairstyle a little to something more modern but that's about it. Like maybe one that looks more visibly frizzy so that it looks like its repping black women in current times and not the 70's/80's but it still looks hot and still looks good with that mask. Because if you're gonna have that mask then the hair needs to pop out to balance it out. Also her boots and sleeves are cute and sexy.
The simple colors and symbol would look good today. Kinda weird that her and Storm both have long flowing sleeves.
