There's no villain setup. There's nothing new in any fashion. Fraction was going on and on about how this was a new and alive Gotham with an identity, a pop punk and gothic mix. Where is it? It's just the art having some bright lights on the cars. There's nothing else here.

So what was so special about this book. My LCS was hyping the fuck out of it. Then Monday night I saw an actual trailer pop up on YouTube and a quick commercial yesterday.

I liked his Iron Man quite a bit. It was honestly the last good Iron Man run. And it's been nearly 20 years since then. 17 since it started, 13 since it ended. It wasn't as great as the Knaufs' run, but it was /good/ and it kept the character moving forward. This Batman #1 here however is a total nothingburger. There's nothing set up.
