But equally as important is the fact that everything you could possibly get from a single episode can be obtained through a single viewing, as everything that matters is laid out plainly in the open. It's weird because watching the show makes it clear that, despite cutesy drones dealing with horror, gruesome scenes of death and looming end of the world, there is still that precious aspect of dark comedy woven throughout the storytelling that leaves room for a hopeful resolution despite everything. That's in contrast with stuff that Goose makes - that is, seemingly low-stakes scenarios which escalate towards anguish with no happy ending. Both are perfectly good approaches to creating a story, but for some reason a couple of people ITT would rather have Liam set everything like Gooseworx often does. The Solver wasn't wasted at all. If you don't like protagonists winning through a seemingly hopeless situation, then don't watch anything... ever.

At least the path to "victory" (quotes because The Solver hasn't actually been defeated like you're implying, just held back and contained in Uzi meaning it can just resume what it's doing if Uzi gives up or ever kicks the bucket) makes sense in Murder Drones.
Uzi struggles with the Solver possessing her for the final 3 episodes of the show, and eventually manages to break through the possession due to the help of N in Episode 7. Which leads to the continued struggle of trying not to be possessed in Episode 8, using N as an anchor to stay herself, and eventually rejecting possession alltogether to try and fight back against Cyn directly.

And even then Uzi, N and V STILL can't actually overpower Cyn even while The Solver is blatantly fucking around. The Solver is an eldritch horror that fucks around and enjoys this, that's part of the whole point. The only reason Uzi gets her hands on Cyn's core is because she remembers Cyn teleporting behind her earlier, and when Cyn teleports Uzi outsmarts the Solver by turning around and placing her hand where Cyn is materializing.

None of this is "wasted" to me. Especially since The Solver is still.. you know, there. It's not like they can actually get rid of it.

I think that Figuarts engineering could work fine without compromising the design too much. Recently got a couple of their body models for some art practice, and the Ken Sugimori one specifically has absolute sticks for limbs, but they feel really solid.
The only real problem is how the elbows and knees would work on a DD specifically while still having a decent range of movement.

Nanite probably, the NVJ trio didn't know about solverhosts (conciously) yet both N and V used their nanite stingers on Yeva and Nori. Nori was just lucky since Khan tells Uzi he bashed Nori's head in, so she was probably melting either in the torso or head, something to allow her core to stay clean and crawl out.
I assume Yeva was likely shot by V and then stung which could be why her chest looks so burnt out, if V had eaten it and torn it out there would be far worse damage and visible ribs.
The nanite stinger is very rarely used tho, I wonder why N and V never tried it against Cyn in 8.
Unrelated but N absolutely definitely permakilled two workers in the pilot, one was stung in the core before being decapitated and the other was lasered in half, splitting the core. Since no singularity escaped this implies the WDs system registered Fatal error so quickly the failsafe worked before the laser finished its work.
I headcanon that the failsafe is actually nanite acid which was invented by JCJenson, this is stored in the failsafe pins (hence the lights on their ends, that could be it) and gets injected in the vaccum chamber which holds the singularity. (If failsafe doesn't work likeon ZDs it is due to wear as we read in the tape in 5, so this nanite acid can apparently go bad under certain conditions)

It might just be useless. The Solver made the DD's bodies, the Solver made their nanite acid and also gave them the ability to neutralize nanite acid with their saliva. It might just... do nothing to Cyn. I dunno. Not like they get many opportunities to get a tail stab in anyway though.
