It's running fine. There's stuff to get used to like the file explorer when selecting an image to upload not showing me full thumbnails and also not searching the subfolders within the folder for the file names. I can still do searches just fine in the regular non-browser file explorer though, so I'm not having issues finding stuff.
It's an acceptable trade off for not having 50% of my RAM being used when the computer is sitting idle with nothing open like how it was in windows 10.

Overall, I'll get used to this quickly.

Last night I had a dream that I was some kind of ghoul or mook in the Ninjoe setting. I had been deployed to a burnt out city and I didn't know what my mission was, were we there to finish the place off or search for survivors?

As I shambled through the debris, eventually I made my way into an apartment that wasn't too devastated. Inside of the bathroom shower, behind a glass door, there was a woman. She looked like those demons formaldehyde used to draw with the blue skin, fish-like features, big titties, and a mouth like a lamprey eel. I still don't know what the mission is, but as she emerges, water pouring out of the shower stall, she doesn't bite me, just falls into me. So I determine she's a civilian and should take her back to base.

On the way back, in another part of the building, there's voice that asks if it finally found another plaything, then a timer appears on my visor? The TV has started to shake and has turned on despite there being no power, so I light it up. A Freddy Krueger looking bastard shows up and I'm between him and the civilian. Before the fight can end, one of the walls comes down and my squad leader enters the building, some Asuka Langley looking woman, who then one-shots the dream dream by impaling him in the head with his own blade fingers with her magnetic powers before launching herself into the air with them back to base.

I get back to base and there are other mooks from my squad there, some have also brought back survivors. One of them is this edgy looking guy with a trench coat and loads of guns and knives attached to it. He's talking about his favorite black leather gun strap at meal time to someone who does not give a fuck. The squad leader comes back in and there's some kind of enforced idol worship for squad leaders to keep up morale. One of the other squad leaders had their outfit damaged and needs something to replace an accessory with, so she's using her magnetic powers to inspect everything in the mess tent.

I too read a lot of Pratchett and Sanderson. Lately I've been reading a lot of pulp sci fi, the first couple John Carter of Mars books and a large selection of Poul Anderson, though he is quite dry by modern standards. Growing up I loved Jeff Grubb, J. Robert King and Timothy Zahn. In terms of comics I'm fond of Johns' run on GL, Giffen & DeMatteis particularly on Justice League International, and of course Morrison is good for a mindfucky romp.

I really like Barbarella by Jean Claude Forest but I have only read the english translation not sure if im missing out on him. And my all time favorite inspiration is Jack Kirby and I legitimately love his writing style and the passion behind all his characters, I love how sincere and enthused they all are. That kind of passion and verbose style is missing from all modern stuff. And another anon reccomended pulp scifi books I also like those, if you read most any of them they are all well written and highly imaginative, usually you can find them cheap too. Lastly I really like Philip K Dick's books, I love LOVE his characters and how they talk. They strike me as very honest and realistic in how they deal with absurd high concept situations and he always takes a relatable low class person like a junkie and elevates them into a high stakes situation. Worth checking out any of his books.

Lustless is the heir to the ruling royal empire that spans all of known space and she is of age to marry and become queen. The catch is she is mentally handicapped and has no interest in the empire she represents, she only cares for goofing off with a random junkie she befriended named Champ. The patron Goddess they worship has bestowed her with magical powers as a bit of a safety net because the fate of the empire rests on her shoulders, but she doesnt really understand or care about that. I have some more ideas for it but I dont wanna get ahead of myself since im still making basically the first story.
