I was reading random panels here and there to get myself to re-read the entire thing and recall, among other things, when and how Kat gained the favor of most court robots, and found that part where robots perform Diego's version of Jeanne's death, and are hardwired to say "she died, and we did nothing" (or something like that) whenever she is mentioned.
Could it be that motherfucker programmed an actual "defend Jeanne" magitek protocol using similar technology from the arrows, and robots consider Kat close enough for them to execute it?
Also, maybe the slampig couldn't detect those robots because they are similarly etherically invisible because the arrow itself (and similar technology) is very difficult to locate.
