I had another shitty weekend. Averaging 3 sometimes 2 hours of sleep per night while working an intensive blue collar job where we're also working 10 hour shifts is just ripping me to shreds.

I still haven't heard back regarding my sleep study and I have just been getting my ass kicked by untreated ADHD and Depression for months now. I also haven't had any luck with getting in with a psychologist either.

You don't need to "convert" your videos. Grok's videos are already tiny and fit into 4chan's 4 MB restriction just fine. You only need to remove the audio track.

Others will recommend ffmpeg, a very powerful console software, and it's fine, but I think it's unwieldy for most users.

Instead, I'd suggest Avidemux. It's a linear editor with GUI that does 99% of stuff that you might want to do with ffmpeg, but in a much more user-friendly way.

1. Open your video
2. Menu: Audio -> Select track. Uncheck the checkbox for the existing audio
3. Left panel: make sure that Video and Audio are set to Copy ( = not re-encoded with this or that codec, but kept as is)
4. Output format: select MP4 (contrary to popular belief, this is not a codec but a *container*. Codec is things like XviD or H264. Here, you aren't reencoding anything. You're just selecting which container you want the existing streams to be in)
5. File->Save.

Don't reencode to webm. 4chan natively supports mp4s with avc inside, which is what Grok's videos are. Reencoding is 1) unnecessary in this case and 2) worses the video quality of a video that is already quite small and LQ.

Yes. Outside of very rare circumstances where something is indeed almost "lost media" and some random old youtube upload is all that survived, music can and should be gotten from adequate sources. Either sources with ready-made pirate releases (trackers, blogs, forums, whatever works best for your genre) or extractors from official streaming services, if the music in question is modern enough to be present there.

And if you do get audio from youtube, don't reencode it from one shitty lossy quality to another similarly shitty lossy quality. Keep it in that 128 kbps opus. (you're not downloading it for your mp3 player, do you?)

Also they both use dynamic range compression and other filtering. Spotify does on the free tier. Soundcloud does even in their Premium or whatever it's called. Or at least it did last time I checked. Free tier 100% has awful processing. Or maybe it's such awful encoding that it introduces this unintentionally. But it's there. In some music, it's extremely audible.
I happen to do audio stuff as a professional. I recognize that my brain is trained better to notice stuff, but it still blows my mind when people don't hear this. This is not about silly audiophile things like "oh no they cut off frequencies above 16 khz!!!", it's about extremely audible issues in the very human-hearable parts of the sound.

Of course when I need to quickly check something or just play some random song then I'll play it from what I have at hand. But using them as your source for collection building / hq copy obtaining - no way.

But google Free Media Heck Yeah. They have a pretty well-written catalogue of such things. I use Deemix (it grabs from Deezer) and it covers 96% of my needs with modern music. Some of these tools require you to have a working account for this or that service (either a real one that you use or one that you "borrowed"). There are also some others that are hosted by kind people. Explore FMHY's pages about audio, it's quite comprehensive.
